Needleless Acupuncture
Needleless Acupuncture works exactly like traditional acupuncture, except without the use of needles. This method is perfect for those who would benefit from acupuncture treatment, but feel uncomfortable receiving needles or too sensitive to the needling sensation. Originally developed by Dr. Yuka after many years of training and clinical experience in applied kinesiology, acupressure, acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, Needleless Acupuncture utilizes gentle pressure on acupuncture points and directive movement of the limbs to regulate and balance the movement of Qi. In some cases, homeopathic or herbal drops and/or essential oils are placed on specific points to further stimulate the effects of the therapy. It is suitable for all ages and is especially effective and safe for children and the elderly population.
Sound Healing – Reiki Drumming & Acutonics
Sound healing is a modality of treatment that incorporates the use of tones and vibrations to open the meridians and chakras in the body while bringing the body back into harmony. Sound tools such as tuning forks used in Acutonics or Reiki drums can be applied to the body. Reiki drumming helps patients shift through physical, emotional, and spiritual blockages using sound and vibration. In 2001, a Group Drumming Study of 111 subjects showed that drumming significantly reduced stress, improved mood states and increased natural killer cell activity thereby increasing immune function. Acutonics is a technique that uses tuning fork vibration over specific acupressure points to lower stress, improve digestion, and increase energy and immune function. Acutonics is an effective alternative to acupuncture needles and is especially popular with children and patients that are sensitive to acupuncture treatments.
Aroma Acupoint Therapy (AAT)
Aroma Acupoint Therapy involves the application of specific organic essential oils over acupuncture points to promote energetic changes and restore balance and well-being. As energetically active as acupuncture points essential oils can be used in place of needles for a gentle yet therapeutic effect. Aroma Acupoint Therapy can be used in conjunction with Needleless Acupuncture or acupressure particularly for children and the elderly or to enhance the effects of acupuncture treatments.
