Re-Balancing with Aroma Acupoint Therapy

Re-Balancing with Aroma Acupoint Therapy
Looking to re-balance your body and mind? Aroma Acupoint Therapy (or AAT) is a great modality to help you do just that! AAT involves the application of specific organic essential oils over acupuncture points to promote energetic changes and restore balance and well-being. This therapy is perfect for those who are needle sensitive and prefer less needles during a treatment as well as for children and the elderly, since the oils provide a gentle yet therapeutic effect.

Aroma Acupoint Therapy can also be used in conjunction with Needleless Acupuncture or acupressure and to enhance the effects of acupuncture treatments or even bmwo products. By treating the mental and emotional roots to physical illnesses, AAT helps to address a variety of conditions such as fatigue, stress, anxiety, depression, irritable bowel syndrome, hormonal imbalance, thyroid disorders, premenstrual syndrome, menstrual pain, and menstrual irregularities.

Some people choose to use meditation, yoga, or turn to websites such as https://www.togoweed.co to find out about the pain-relieving benefits that many believe cannabis possesses. You should speak to a medical professional if this is something that you’re interested in trying, as they can advise you on the different strains and methods of taking it. For example, most people smoke dried flowers, which they can source from online dispensaries. If, however, they buy dried flowers, they might also have to buy a mylar bag (which can be found by looking up keywords like mylar bags cali on the Internet) to store them in order to keep their potency.

Having said that, keep in mind that dried flowers are not the only options. There are other cannabis products that can prove to be equally beneficial and fruitful for treating a bunch of problems. For instance, some may prefer to order cannabis oil online instead of buying flowers pr edibles. But one should keep in mind that using cannabis doesn’t work for everyone, which is why some turn to therapies such as AAT.

During AAT, specific oils are used based on the condition being treated. At CANH, we love using oils that help calm the spirit and nervous system, move liver qi stagnation or tense energy, and balance and ground frenetic energy. Our favorites are listed below!

Bergamot oil has a warm, sweet, fruity odor and is used for mood swings, irritability, depression, mental/emotional issues, and digestive problems related to stress. This oil helps increase alertness and cultivates optimism while stabilizing emotions. When combined with complimentary oils such as lemongrass, rosemary, and peppermint, Bergamot oil can be used to reduce fevers, aid in digestion, and as an antiviral for conditions such as shingles. In Chinese medicine, it is used to spread the liver qi, relax constraint, harmonize the Shen, activate Qi, reduce stagnation, and harmonize the middle burner.

Red Mandarin oil has a fresh, sweet, citrus odor and is used for mood swings, anger and irritability, relieving feelings of guilt, stress related insomnia, indigestion affected by stress, and low energy most often in the morning. Red Mandarin helps to stabilize the emotions and reduce negative thinking while cultivating feelings of optimism. When used with complimentary oils such as lavender, petitgrain, fennel, and basil, Red Mandarin can act as a sedative to calm nervous tension and stress related conditions (especially those that bring about negative thoughts and emotions) and aid in relieving indigestion with pain, bloating, or nausea. In Chinese medicine, this oil helps to spread liver qi, harmonize the Shen, regulate the qi, and harmonize the middle burner.

Blue Tansy oil has an intense, fruity, sweet odor and is often used for feelings of frustration, irritability, oversensitivity, anxiety, insomnia, nerve pain, allergies, and sudden bursts of anger. It promotes relaxation and calms the mind as well as provides mental and emotional stability and flexibility, allowing for the release of negative emotions. Blue Tansy oil is also strongly anti-inflammatory and helps treat headaches, skin issues, and painful inflammatory conditions, such as plantar fasciitis and arthritis. This oil can be combined with complimentary oils such as mandarin, lavender, helichrysum, siberian fir, and patchouli to help calm anxiety, reduce inflammation and pain, act as a bronchodilator in asthmatic conditions, and serve as a venous decongestant for varicose veins. In Chinese medicine, Blue Tansy activates the qi and releases constraint, harmonizes the Shen, relieves pain, harmonizes the liver, stomach, and spleen, nourishes the liver and heart yin, and settles the heart. It also descends lung qi, relaxes the chest, and dispels wind-damp from the skin to relieve skin issues.

Lavender oil has a light and sweet floral odor and is often used for irritability, agitation, depression, anxiety, palpitations, disturbed sleep, fungal skin infections, acts as an anti-inflammatory, and aids in the regeneration of skin. When paired with complimentary oils such as marjoram, palmarosa, geranium, lemongrass, melissa officials, and fennel, Lavender oil acts as a sedative, relaxant, anti fungal, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and carminative (reduces bloating and gas). In Chinese medicine, Lavender nourishes the yin, settles the heart, calms the Shen, activates qi to relax constraint and relieve pain, activates blood and regulates menstruation, cools and ventilates the lungs, dispels wind-heat, relieves pain, and boosts Wei (protective) qi.

Atlas Cedarwood oil has a warm, sweet, woody aroma and is often used for mild anxiety, low self-esteem, resignation, lack of will power, and the feeling of generally being burned out from life’s stressors. It is also helpful for those who are overweight, have swollen glands, or who tend to retain water. Atlas Cedarwood helps to stabilize the mind while promoting flexibility of thoughts, allowing us to let go of repetitive or excessive thinking of things that are worrying us. This oil also promotes mental-emotional security to ease fearfulness and agitation. When combined with complimentary oils such as sage, spearmint, and tea tree, Atlas Cedarwood helps treat exhaustion, bronchitis, chronic intestinal inflammation, atherosclerosis, venous congestion/varicose veins, lymphatic congestion, and metabolic toxicosis. In Chinese medicine, it is used to nourish the Yin, resolve damp, and calm the Shen.
