Tina Yang, M.S., L.Ac.

Tina Yang is a 4th generation Chinese Medical Practitioner, a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, and a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine.

Training

She began her undergraduate studies at The California State University of Long Beach, where she graduated with Honors in Business Marketing. Surrounded by Chinese Medicine since childhood, she was inspired by the philosophies of natural healing which led her to pursue her Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from South Baylo University.

Experience

Tina is the co-founder of Coastal Acupuncture & Natural Health Center (CANH) in Costa Mesa and is the primary acupuncturist at the CANH clinic in Laguna Hills, CA. She has over 14 years of clinical experience and has practiced in several integrative clinics, including the Susan Samueli Center for Integrative Medicine (SSCIM) at the University of California, Irvine. At SSCIM, she served as a committee member for the herbal medicine review board, developed the herbal dispensary and launched their first off-site integrative medical center.

Individual Focused Treatment

She offers the most effective and comprehensive care plans that focuses on the root cause of the condition as well as the symptoms. These customized care plans incorporate acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, nutrient therapy, dietary and lifestyle counseling, as well as laboratory testing. Other modalities such as Reiki and Cranial Sacral therapy are used to compliment acupuncture and to treat the mental and emotional aspects of her patients.

Areas of Specialization

Tina specializes in pain management, infertility, women’s health issues, stress management, weight loss, allergies, and digestive disorders. Her other areas of expertise include treatment of PMS, irregular and painful menstruation, PCOS, and menopausal symptoms.

Her passion for helping couples start and grow their families led her to further her studies in infertility and reproductive medicine. She received advanced training in western reproductive medicine, oriental reproductive medicine, miscarriage prevention, and pregnancy support. She is board certified as a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine and works with fertility doctors and gynecologists in Orange County to support natural fertility, in-vitro fertilization, and intra-uterine insemination treatments. She also collaborates with obstetricians, midwives, and doulas to treat pregnancy related conditions and to provide postpartum support to mothers of newborns.
